If something breaks

Steps for a person to follow. This page does not run them.

  1. 1. Write down the time and what you clicked.
  2. 2. Do not turn on a legally locked switch to get around the problem. Outreach and data sales stay off.
  3. 3. Do not buy a service or enter a card from this page.
  4. 4. If a county website shows a CAPTCHA or says automated access is not allowed, stop that county. Do not try to get around it.
  5. 5. If someone asks you to send a list of people, do not send it.
  6. 6. If law enforcement or a lawyer sends a demand for records, use the record-request page. Do not delete records to hide them, and do not hand over the database from a chat message.
  7. 7. A person with access can put the last working deploy back on Cloudflare. This page does not do that, and it does not connect to the live database.
